Materials:
 Worsted weight yarn:
      4 oz. Red
      2 oz. Black
      4 oz. White
 Size H crochet hook
 ¼” elastic
 polyester stuffing
 

Body Tube:
With red, ch 15, join to first ch with sl st.
Rnd 1: Dc in ea ch, join
Rnd. 2: Ch 2, dc in ea dc around, join
Repeat Rnd 2 until tube measures 60”
Finish off leaving long end for stitching.

Cut 34” length of ¼” elastic. Thread elastic through tube, tie or sew together.
Using long end and stitching in back loops, stitch beginning of tube to end of tube, forming circular tube.

Legs and boots (make 2):
With red, ch 15, join.
Rnd 1: Ch 2, dc in ea ch, join.
Rnd 2: Ch 2, dc in ea dc, join, end off red.
Rnd 3: Join black, ch 2, dc in ea dc, join.
Rnds 4 & 5: Repeat Rnd 3.
Rnd 6: Ch 2, dc in both loops of next 4 dc, (3 dc in front loop only of next dc) 5 times, dc in both loops of next 5 dc, join (25 dc)
Rnd 7: Ch 1, sc in same st, sc in next 4 sts, hdc in next 3 sts, dc in next 2 sts, 2 dc in ea of next 5 sts, dc in next 2 sts, hdc in next 3 sts, sc in next 5 sts, join (30 sts)
Rnd 8: Ch 1, sc in 13 sts, hdc in next 4 sts, sc in next 13 sts, join (30)
Rnd 9: Ch 2, dc in both loops of next 8 sts, dc in back loop only of next 14 sts, dc in both loops of next 8 sts., join. Finish off.
Sole:
Rnd 1: With black, ch 7, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next ch, hdc in next 3 chs, 3 hdc in end ch, working on opposite side of chain, hdc in next 3 chs, sc in next ch, 3 sc in last ch, join to first sc. (15)
Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in same st, sc in next st, hdc in next 3 sts, 2 hdc in next st, 3 hdc in ea of next 2 sts, 2 hdc in next st, hdc in next 3 sts, sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in ea of next 2 sts, join. (24)
Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in same st, sc in next 3 sts, hdc in next 5 sts, 2 dc in next st, 3 dc in next, 2 dc in next, hdc in next 5 sts, sc in next 4 sts, 2 sc in next st, 3 sc in next st, 2 sc in next st, join. Finish off.
Sew to bottom of boot, stitching in back loops around. Stuff boot and leg. Sew on body tube about  6 ½” from seam of body tube.

Mittens (make 2):
With black, ch 27.
Row 1: Dc in 2nd ch from hook, dc in next 3 ch, sc in next ch, dc in next 8 ch, sc in next, dc in next 8, sc in next, dc in next 4, turn.
Row 2: Ch 2, 3 dc, sc, 8 dc, sc, 8 dc, sc, 4 dc, turn.
Row 3 & 4: Repeat row 2.
Row 5: Ch 2, 3 dc, sc, (dc, tr, dtr, tr, dc) in next st, sc in next, 6 dc, sc, 6 dc, sc, (dc, tr, dtr, tr, dc) in next, sc in next, 4 dc. Finish off leaving 18” length.
Using 18” length, fold mitten together in middle and stitch around outside edges. (run yarn under fold to opposite side and stitch opposite side).

Arm (make 2):
With red, ch 15, join with sl st.
Rnd 1: Ch 2, dc in ea ch around, join (15)
Rnd 2: Ch 2, dc in ea dc, join
Rnd 3 & 4: Repeat rnd 2.
Fasten off.
Sew mitten over top of 4th row (between row 3 & 4).
Sew on body tube about 7 ½” above legs.

Head:
Rnd. 1: Ch 3, 11 dc in first ch, join. (12 dc)
Rnd 2: Ch 2, dc in same st, 2 dc in ea st around, join (24)
Rnd 3: Ch 2, 2 dc in next st, (dc in next st, 2 dc in next) around, join (36)
Rnd 4: Ch 2, dc in next st, 2 dc in next, (dc in next 2 sts, 2 dc in next) around, join (48)
Rnd 5: Ch 2, dc in ea dc, join
Rnd 6 & 7: Repeat rnd 5.
Rnd 8: Ch 2, dc in next st,, dc next 2 sts tog, (2 dc, dc 2 tog) around, join (36)
Rnd 9: Ch 2, dc 2 tog, (dc, dc 2 tog) around, join (24)
Rnd 10: Ch 2, dc, (2 dc tog) around, join
Stuff head.
Rnd 11: Ch 2, (2 dc tog) around, join
Finish off, leaving long end to gather opening closed.

Nose:
Rnd 1: Ch 2, 5 sc in 1st ch, join
Rnd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in ea st around, join
Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc 2 tog around.
End off, leave long end for sewing. Sew to middle of face.

Using fabric paint, draw eyes on face and mouth, if desired.

Cut 42 8” lengths of white yarn. Leaving area above face blank, fold each length in half, insert hook around dc on third row from top of head, pull loop through, then pull ends through loop. Continue around head for 30 stitches, forming a fringe of 4” hair. Put 12 lengths in the 4th row at the back under fringe.

Cut about 50  10” lengths of white yarn. Hook into stitches around mouth and across bottom of face, also putting 2 rows of 3 or 4 on each side just outside of cheeks. Refer to photo.

 

Hat:
With red, ch 55, join.
Rnd. 1: Ch 2, dc in ea ch, join (55)
Rnd 2: Ch 2, dc in 3 sts, dc 2 tog, (dc in 4 sts, dc 2 tog) around, dc in last st, join.  (46)
Rnd 3: Ch 2, dc in ea dc around, join.
Rnd 4: Ch 2, dc in 2 sts, dc 2 tog, (dc in 3 sts, dc 2 tog) around, dc in last st, join (37)
Rnd 5: Ch 2, dc in ea dc around, join.
Rnd 6: Ch 2, dc in 2 sts, dc 2 tog (dc in 3 sts, dc 2 tog) around, dc in last 2 sts, join (30)
Rnd 7: Ch 2, dc in ea dc around, join.
Rnd 8: Ch 2, dc in 2 sts, dc 2 tog (dc in 3 sts, dc 2 tog) around, dc in last st, join (24)

End off. Weave yarn end through stitches to close opening.
Hat Band:
With white, ch 54, join.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, sc in same st, (dc, tr, dc, sc) around, join.
Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in dc, sc in tr, (dc in dc, tr in sc, dc in dc, sc in tr) around, join.
Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in same st, (dc in dc, tr in sc, dc in dc, sc in tr) around, join.
Finish off.

Sew band over bottom 3 rows of hat. Tack in place on head.

Sew head in place on body tube midway between arms.

Place around computer monitor.
