Spiral Scrunchie

Materials:          

  G hook

            2 medium size scrunchie elastics

            About 3 oz. each of red and white worsted weight yarn

 

1.  Holding red & white yarn together and working around both elastics held together as one, make 18 sc and join by sl st in first sc. Drop the white yarn, but do not cut the red.
2.  With red, loosely ch 30.  Work 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook, and in each ch to end. Sl st in joining st.

3.  Change colors by pulling a loop of white  yarn through the red, drop the red, and ch 30 with the white. Work 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch to end. Sl st in next sc on first row.
 
     Continue working the same way around, ending with a white spiral, join to beginning chain.

End off both strands of yarn, tie them together in a small knot.

Weave in ends.


Note:  This can be made using 3 colors. Follow directions as written, only alternate between the 3 colors, for example, red, white and green for Christmas.
